Chelsea could follow Tottenham to Australia in June for Sydney FC friendly

Chelsea are considering following Tottenham's
lead and travelling to Australia to play a friendly
against Sydney FC at the end of the season.
It is believed the club are looking into setting up
a fixture to be held on June 2, four days after
Spurs meet the same opponents on May 30th.
The match will also be held at the ANZ Stadium,
which has a capacity of 83,000. The venue will
be expected to sell out, with Chelsea expected
to arrive as the new Premier League champions.
Manager Jose Mourinho admitted recently he
was in talks with the board over setting up a
tour at the end of the campaign.
It was reported that the club were heading to
Japan, which is the home of their new sponsors
for next season Yokohama Rubber, but they
appear to be heading Down Under instead.
Mourinho said at the time he was hoping to
schedule two fixtures, but Chelsea didn't want to
comment on the prospect of playing in Australia.
Should the plans be confirmed, the news is not
expected to be greeted warmly by international coaches.
